Fira i Festes Gandia 2026: full programme

Fira i Festes Gandia 2026 takes place from Friday 2 to Monday 5 October, bringing four days of concerts, street performances, markets, family activities and some of Gandia’s most distinctive traditions to the city centre.

For visitors, it is one of the best times of the year to discover a very different side of Gandia. Plaça Major, Passeig de les Germanies, Plaça del Prado, the Marquesa Gardens and Parc de la Festa all become part of a huge open-air celebration.

Markets and food during the Fira

From 2 to 5 October, different parts of the city centre host Els Mercats de la Fira, adding stalls and shopping areas to the festive atmosphere.

The Plaça del Mosset, located in Plaça del Tirant, also returns as one of the main places for food and socialising during the festivities.

Most of these areas are within easy walking distance of each other, making it simple to move between a market, a performance and somewhere to eat.

Things to do with children

Fira i Festes is particularly easy to enjoy as a family.

The Plaça del Joc will be open on 3 and 4 October in Plaça de la Vila, while the Bebé Espacio at the Biblioteca Central will run from 3 to 5 October.

There will also be street theatre, circus performances, acrobatics, games and workshops throughout the city centre.

Gandia funfair 2026

The funfair runs for considerably longer than the main Fira programme.

The attractions will be installed at Parc d’Ausiàs March from 25 September to 12 October, meaning visitors can enjoy them both before and after the four main festival days.

It is one of the classic family plans during Fira i Festes, although evenings during the main weekend are usually particularly busy.

Where does Fira i Festes take place?

The programme is spread throughout central Gandia, but there are a few places worth knowing before you arrive.

Plaça Major: Tio de la Porra, opening events and traditional celebrations.

Parc de la Festa: the main evening concerts.

Passeig de les Germanies: street theatre, circus and entertainment.

Plaça del Prado: live music, exhibitions and traditional activities.

Marquesa Gardens: concerts throughout the weekend.

Plaça de la Vila: one of the main family areas.

Plaça del Tirant: Plaça del Mosset.

Teatre Serrano: theatre, music and magic performances.

What not to miss on your first Fira i Festes

If you only have one or two days in Gandia, there is no need to try to follow the entire programme.

The Tio de la Porra on Friday morning is one of the best moments for understanding the traditional character of the festival. Saturday is particularly strong for concerts and nightlife, while Sunday works well for families and anyone wanting to enjoy the street entertainment.

If you are still in Gandia on Monday, the mascletà and the events honouring Saint Francis Borgia reveal a more traditional side of the celebration.

The best approach is simply to walk through the centre and leave some room for spontaneity. With so many simultaneous events, you are likely to come across music, street theatre or a market without having planned it in advance.

Practical information

Fira i Festes Gandia 2026 officially runs from 2 to 5 October, while the funfair will be open from 25 September until 12 October.

If you are travelling specifically for a concert or performance, it is worth checking the official programme again on the day. With such an extensive outdoor schedule, times or locations may occasionally change.

For anyone visiting Gandia during these dates, Fira i Festes is a great reason to leave the seafront behind for a few hours and head into the historic centre. It is one of the best opportunities of the year to experience Gandia through its traditions, music and street life.
